CARBIDE BUYING · SOUTH MORAVIAN REGION

Tungsten carbide buying in Brno

In Brno and the South Moravian Region, you can offer indexable inserts, cemented carbide and worn solid tools. The material type, approximate weight and lot description help us prepare an initial assessment.

MATERIALS

What material can you offer?

Contract machining, toolmaking and mould production use several forms of carbide. One workshop may have coated inserts, broken drills and carbide blanks. Each group is assessed according to its actual composition.

  • Carbide inserts and indexable insertsTurning and milling inserts, loose tips and mixed grades.
  • Cemented carbide (WC-Co)Blanks, rods, fragments and production offcuts.
  • Solid carbide drills and cuttersWorn or broken solid tools, kept apart from steel-bodied tools.
  • Brazed tools and grinding residuesDescribe brazing metal or residue contamination; suitability and price need individual assessment.

PROCESS

From description to an agreed handover

1. Describe the lot

Tell us the type, approximate weight, location and a short description of the lot.

2. Clarify composition

We may ask about steel, brazing metal, coatings or contamination. Mixed material and grinding residues need individual assessment.

3. Agree on terms

After reviewing the offer, we discuss price, a suitable handover method and timing. Nothing is fixed before agreement.

PRICE

What affects carbide buying price?

The final offer depends on the actual material, not on the city name. We consider the carbide type and composition, purity, form and quantity. Steel bodies, copper or solder and other contaminants can change the assessment. Grinding residues require particular care.

If you know a grade or the original use, mention it. Describe any mixed materials; an estimate is confirmed only after the material is assessed.

PREPARATION

Sort only as much as is practical

If material comes from several workstations, label containers for inserts, solid tools and carbide pieces. Coatings on inserts normally need no removal; separating steel holders is more useful.

  • Keep inserts, solid tools and carbide pieces in separate groups where possible.
  • Identify steel holders and brazed tips; there is no need for complicated cleaning.
  • Keep grinding residues separate and describe abrasive, coolant or other contamination.

QUESTIONS

Before you get in touch

What should I send for an offer?

Material type, approximate weight, a short description and your city. For a mixture, give a short breakdown by inserts, solid tools, carbide pieces and residues.

Can I offer a small or mixed lot?

Describe what you have and we will assess whether a purchase is suitable. Quantity and composition also affect the practical handover options.

What if steel or brazing metal is mixed in?

Mention them in the inquiry. Separate large steel parts where practical; brazed tools are assessed individually because they are not solid carbide.

Is there a branch or automatic collection in this city?

No local branch is stated on this page. We discuss any handover or transport arrangement after reviewing the material and quantity.
